I enjoyed this story so much, especially the detailed descriptions of Venice with all its art and romance. Caroline goes to Venice to find herself and to discover the meaning behind the items her Aunt leaves her, some keys and a sketchbook. When Lettie passes away she leaves some cryptic clues for Caroline who is dealing with her marriage ending and is adrift. The Venice Sketchbook is a dual timeline story that takes place between 19 with Juliet (Lettie) traveling to Venice to study art and also in 2001 with Juliet’s great niece Caroline. She writes two mystery series set in the early 1900s, and her latest release is standalone historical fiction set during WWII in Italy.
